How to Make Your Own Shirts

After you download your digital art print from LabweRx, people often want to know how to use the digital download to create their own physical apparel. Here's a basic overview.

First - you'll receive a vector file and a PNG file from us after purchase. What's a VECTOR file? A vector file is a type of computer graphic that uses mathematical formulas to define shapes and lines. Unlike raster images (PNG, JPG), which are made up of pixels, vector images are based on points, lines, and curves that can be scaled infinitely without losing quality. This scalability makes vector files ideal for logos, illustrations, and other graphics where high-quality output at various sizes is necessary. Popular formats for vector files include SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS (Encapsulated PostScript), and PDF (Portable Document Format). Basically, you'll need a vector file type for any screen-printing service. However, if you're just using a transfer process like described below in the second part, you'll most likely be okay using the PNG file type.

Second - you need to decide how you want to get your shirt produced. There are usually local screen-printing shops around depending on your location. And while they can do the job, you want to see what they charge for only a few shirts. It can get expensive. If you don't have the hook-up with a screen printer, here's an online option - T-shirt Design Lab - Design Your Own T-shirts & More (customink.com)

Here's an overview of the process. This isn't exact, and intended to just be a guide.

1. Save your downloaded LabweRx vector file somewhere on your digital device that's easy to find.

2. Go to the design lab and click on UPLOAD.

3. Size and scale the design on the demo shirt provided.

4. Click "CHANGE PRODUCTS" then make sure you hit the toggle button if you are ordering fewer than 6 shirts. (Not every shirt style or brand is going to be available in small orders)

5. Pick the style and sizes. If you're looking for feel, durability and print quality, we recommend the Bella+Canvas tri-blend option especially if you're working out in it.

6. Pick the size, color and quantity of each.

7. Submit your order. Make sure you give yourself ample time for print, ship and delivery. It can take a couple of weeks depending on who you go with.

We hope this tutorial helps. Feel free to pick your own service provider or local shop. Good luck in your next competition. Kill WODS, Save DOGS.
